Private Duty Home Care Billing Software
Private duty agencies bill clients, families, long-term care insurers and the VA on different rules. Porchlight bills each client by their payer, from the visits already logged.
Payers it covers
A private duty agency often has clients on private pay, long-term care insurance, and the VA at the same time. Porchlight does not use one setup for every client. It uses the payer rules and authorizations stored on that client, and it turns the visits already logged into an invoice or a claim.
- Private pay: an invoice for the client or a family contact. [CONFIRM: invoice addressed to a family contact?]
- Long-term care insurance: a carrier-formatted invoice. [CONFIRM: carrier-formatted invoices?]
- VA community care: billing from the authorization on the client. [CONFIRM: VA community care billing?]
- Split billing across two payers for one client. [CONFIRM: split billing across two payers?]
Rate handling
Bill rate and pay rate stay separate on the client. Porchlight can hold both. The other rate cases are not confirmed yet.
